Problem:

Foxglove & Mystic is a psychedelic/mystical-themed bistro and bar. The venue targets a mid-to-high price range, with a vibe that is cool enough to attract young professionals, yet polished enough for business dinners. I was tasked with creating their branding, as well as a menu with a unique fold and die line.

Solution:

The design is illustration-forward, drawing on mystical motifs like horoscopes, and the stars. The menu typography is kept minimalist, with ornamental details added to reinforce the atmosphere.

For the fold, I took inspiration from an envelope to create unique triangular cuts that give guests the feeling of opening a personal letter or gift, while preserving the traditional book-style format of a menu. Bright colours are layered over a moody dark background, with text-heavy sections shifted to a light background to maintain readability.
